The Easter Bunny brought fishing poles for the kids...so before the rain we decided to go test the out at the harbor yesterday. We didn't catch anything (probably sue to the lack of hook and bait) but fun was had by all.

Spring Wedding
Science Nerds in the making
These picture were from an experiment the kids did the other day with Mommy Lissa. A mini-volcano...didn't quite work as dramatically as we had hoped, but the kids enjoyed it none the less. We practiced our observation skills, and in the end worked to draw pictures of what we saw.
Now looking for suggestions of other experiments to try with the kids - the loved it!

Walk in the Woods
Is good for the soul.
Lately when everyone is yelling, screaming and arguing we head out into the woods. Instantly everyone calms, they find peace and are able to burn the energy that needs to get out.
Our current favorite spot is up at the Land of the Medicine Buddah. It's a beautiful, calm place that is also home to a local preschool. Our favorite thing is right amongst the trees us a playground...slide, swing and sand box....what's not to love!
It's these moments where we can find a good pace, and appreciate each other and the small discoveries that nature has to offer.
Garden=mud
Some of our favorite activities these days, digging and playing in the mud in the garden. While Tanner and Reese play Freya likes to watch the chickens...and see what she can find within arms reach.
Swaddling
We have always been big fans of the swaddling. As babies it was always their cue for sleep, you think it will still work?
Who says its just for infants?
